This is a minimal update to Sauce Reader that simply extends the Beta expiration date to September 30, 2005. Sauce Reader v2.0 expires on June 30, 2005 so please download and install the new version immediately.

Sauce Reader v2.0 is now available for download. Sauce Reader 2.0 includes the features you loved, and is now one of the fastest and memory efficient RSS readers available! Features include:

• Office 2003 style user interface.
• Integrated weblog posting with drafts and offline authoring.
• Comment feed subscriptions, archiving, posting and search.
• One-click subscription to RSS and Atom feeds using IE toolbar.
• Search archived items using Sauce Reader or desktop search tools.
• Feeds tree and newspaper style views.
• Fast, small and scalable to your reading requirements.

Sauce Reader v1 users will have their data automatically migrated upon installation of Sauce Reader v2.0. Registered Sauce Reader v1 users are being granted a free upgrade to Sauce Reader v2, simply enter your existing license key. Sauce Reader v1 and v2 will run side-by-side if required.

Sauce Reader 2.0 is a complete rewrite and no longer requires the .NET framework. Using .NET for Sauce Reader v1 we were never able to achieve the level of performance we considered appropriate for a heavily used productivity application. .NET is a compelling and powerful platform, but currently unsuitable for widely adopted client side applications.

Sauce Reader v1.10 is now available for download. As usual, existing users will be updated automatically.

Heading towards the end of our beta period, this release focuses on bug fixes and polish:

• Polished and improved the user experience (e.g. right click no longer selects the feed, column resizing).
• More than 30 bug fixes (Please see release notes in the Help for details).

This update, Sauce Reader v1.9.1 , corrects a few problems with v1.9 including the missing IE toolbar. Please see the release notes for more information.

Sauce Reader v1.8 is now available for download. Along with many bug fixes, this release has one major new feature:

Using this feature, you can now monitor updates to any web page using Sauce Reader. Monitoring a URL for any changes, Sauce Reader will download a complete copy of the page for offline browsing (MHTML file). Use this feature to:

1. Keep a complete record of all versions of a web page over time.
2. Monitor infrequently changed pages that do not publish a feed.
